History

Redeemer Presbyterian Church began with a prayer group in September of 1992. The first worship service was held in October 1994 in the ballroom of the Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs.  Our first pastor, Rev. Paul Hahn, ministered at Redeemer from our particularization until 2003. Rev. D. P. Cassidy was called by Redeemer as senior pastor in June of 2005. After many years of renting space for worship and church activities, we broke ground in June of 2008 for construction of our current facility on Alexander Avenue. The dedication of our new home (hall for worship, classrooms, and offices) was held on March 28, 2010. Plans have begun for future construction of a new sanctuary on our site. Rev. Cassidy and his family departed in May of 2014 to take a call in Tennessee, and in June of 2016, the Lord provided Rev. Eric Landry to be our senior pastor.
