Missions

Spring 2018 short-term missions
Short-term mission trips are wonderful opportunities to expand your service in Christ’s kingdom beyond your comfort zone. Last year, Redeemer sent a team to work alongside Wes Baker in Peru. There are two opportunities this year to go on a Redeemer-sponsored short-term mission trip.

The first is a week-long trip to Reynosa, Mexico, March 10-14, 2018. Redeemer member Jane Cox is organizing a group to join with Austin Oaks Church’s youth group to work at Rio Bravo Ministry, home to 400 students who attend the only Christian school (K-12) for hundreds of miles, as well as an orphanage.  A typical day includes devotions followed by work projects (such as painting or paving walkways) with meals in between.  Capping off the day are evening devotions. The cost is $250 per student (17 and under) and $400 per adult, plus transportation to and from McAllen, Texas. A non-refundable deposit is due by February 1. A full payment is due by February 19. For more information, please contact Jane at jh-cox@live.com or visit Austin Oaks’ Website.

The second is a “vision” trip to Slovakia to visit with Kris and Paula Lundgaard, our missionaries there. Kris has requested 3-4 people come to Slovakia, pray with and for the Lundgaards and their team, observe the work being done in Slovakia, and report back to Redeemer on how we can strengthen our partnership with them in the future. Pastor Landry will be leading this trip in mid-April, 2018. Costs are to be determined. This trip is best suited for people who are interested in partnering with the Lundgaards or who may be interested in exploring a call to missionary service in the future. For more information, please contact Pastor Landry at elandry@redeemerpres.org.

Redeemer’s 2017-2018 budget dedicates 10% of all tithes and offerings back toward mercy ministry and missions. Please pray with us that God would continue to raise up new workers for the harvest, both here at home and abroad.
