Deuteronomy 6:10-25

The Christian in a Time of Crisis

We resumed worship on May 10 by starting a new sermon series: “The Christian in a Time of Crisis.” That first week we asked, what is God teaching us about ourselves? Last week, we turned to God and asked, what is God teaching us about himself? This week, we look toward the future and ask, what is God teaching us about the future? The answer is found in Deuteronomy 6, part of Moses’ last speech to Israel before they entered into the Promised Land after forty year of wandering in the desert. Moses tells Israel, “don’t forget!” Like Israel, we are also apt to forget the hard lessons learned in a time of crisis once the crisis lifts and life returns to normal. Join us this Sunday as we learn how to remember God’s faithfulness to us no matter the season of life we find ourselves in.
