John 1:6-13

Gospel of John - Good News

It's the Gospel, Stupid! - His world was looking for an overthrow of their enemies so that they could be exalted to their rightful place. What they failed to see was that God would come in weakness to manifest His strength. They hadn’t imagined that God would come in humility to reveal His glory and they had never imagined that God would come, not to rescue them but to put them in their rightful place. He would come to die so that all those who receive Him, even those who believe in His name might have life. John 1:6-13.

From Series: "Gospel of John - Good News"

The New Year is a great time to revisit the story of Jesus, because our hope for the future is only as secure as our grounding in the person and work of Christ for us. Even though this Gospel isn’t about us, it is for us—Jesus is the Word who is life, and that life is the light of all men. No matter what future you are staring down this New Year, I want you to have the unshakable confidence that the Word which spoke life into being holds your life in his hands and the darkness will not overcome it.
