The spring 40 Days for Life prayer vigil begins February 17 and lasts until March 28. This peaceful, prayerful pro-life initiative is focused on saving the lives of the unborn by quietly praying outside two local abortion facilities. The prayer vigil runs seven days a week for 40 days, and prayer volunteers sign up for one-hour slots to suit their schedule. You can choose one of two sites, one in North Austin off Duval Rd., and the other in South Austin off Ben White Blvd.

As in previous years, Redeemer has chosen two days during the campaign as our “adopted days”: Saturday, February 27, and Friday, March 12. Please note these dates and stay tuned for more information about signing up for one hour on those days. If you have questions, please contact Ellen Stroud: estroud.tx61@gmail.com

The Austin 40 Days for Life campaign is organized by the Central Texas Coalition for Life. If you want to choose an hour to pray weekly during the 40 days, please visit their website and sign up there. This peaceful prayer vigil is held for 40 days each fall and spring in cities across the world to draw attention to the injustice of abortion. While we stand and pray, trained volunteers are there to offer tangible help and hope to women, men, and their unborn babies.
