Our annual congregational meeting will be Sunday evening, November 14 at 6:00. We will be bringing back to the congregation amendments to the by-laws of the church. These were first discussed at our January meeting earlier this year, after which a committee was appointed by the Session to do further work on them. The Session last week approved the committee’s recommendations and brings them to the congregation with its recommendation that they be approved.
Because our Book of Church Order mandates that “No business shall be transacted at such meeting except what is stated in the notice” (25-2) and our current By-Laws require 30 days notice of amendments that are to be considered, it’s intended that all of the proposed amendments be considered together as a whole with one vote.
