Lisal is originally from North Carolina, but has lived in Austin since 1999. She graduated with degrees in Bible and Christian Education from Graham Bible College in Bristol, Tenn., and Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Miss., before marrying Derick McDonald in 1990. She and Derick have four children: Mary Kate, Connor, Harrison and Meg. Lisal has been homeschooling their children for a total of 12 years, enjoys art, music and cooking for groups, large and small. macfam61990@austin.rr.com
