Hebrews 3:1-19

Hebrews: Jesus Is Better

In the 1990s, it became popular among evangelical circles to ask the question: “what would Jesus do?” Bracelets and wristbands bearing the abbreviation, WWJD, could be seen on Christian teenagers all over the country. In Hebrews 3, our preacher is asking the congregation a variation of that popular message: “what would Moses do?” Remember, the audience is in danger of turning back toward Judaism, so our author calls forward the central figure of Judaism to help his ancient readers understand why Jesus is better than Moses. Join us this Sunday as we compare and contrast God’s servant, Moses, with Jesus, God’s Son.
