Hebrews 12:18-29

Hebrews: Jesus Is Better

In many ways, our text for this Sunday (Hebrews 12:18-29) can be seen as a final summary statement—a conclusion to the preacher's long argument that Jesus is better than the Mosaic system his congregation left behind. Included in this summary statement is a helpful comparison of the old covenant and new covenant, as well as an illustration of the difference being part of the new covenant makes to our worship. Join us this Sunday as we peer deeply into the mysteries of our faith and the privilege given to us to ascend to Zion to be with our God.

From Series: "Hebrews: Jesus Is Better"

This summer, our sermon series will take us through the book of Hebrews. Although Hebrews is one of the most important New Testament books because of its teaching on the divinity of Jesus, the relationship between the old and new covenants, and it’s insight on early Christian worship, among other things, the book is shrouded in mystery: who wrote it, to whom was it written, what kind of book is it anyway?
