2 Timothy 3:10-17

2 Timothy: Enduring for the Gospel

In the beginning of 2 Timothy chapter 3, Paul sketches a discouraging outline of humanity during the times between Christ's ascension and return. But in verses 10 through 4:8 he outlines the hope provided the world through Timothy, the Ephesian church and all who take up his letter and hear it. This Sunday we will explore the first part of the hope Christians offer the world through the lives we model and imitate by continuing in the life-giving word of God, and through enduring persecution which reveals to the world its own folly and Christ's eternal glory.
