Abraham, the Lying Priest - This week, Abraham acts as a kind of priest for Abimelech. He secures peace and establishes an everlasting covenant with his gentile neighbor. But, Abraham can’t escape his previous encounter with Abimelech. His lie is the elephant in the room that makes the covenant necessary.
