For the month of April we are featuring another of the organizations Redeemer supports. Read on to learn about them, and pray for them this month. Mission: Possible! is a Christ-centered non-profit dedicated to ministering to our unhoused and impoverished neighbors in Austin. Since their founding in 1992, they have:
- Created many programs for children, including a summer camp, an arts program, tutoring, Bible clubs, and more
- Began a weekly Church Under the Bridge
- Purchased buildings which became their Child & Family Center
- Built the Hesed Homes, a program which provides short-term intervention for families at risk of abuse or neglect
- Saw the launching of its strategic partner, Eastside Community Church
- Began Lifeline Pregnancy Resource Center
- Began offering theological training and recovery services
- Partnered with the Central Texas Food Bank to deliver groceries to the elderly and shut-in population
And the mission is far from over! They are always looking to expand their ministry and reach more people in need. If you would like to help, Mission: Possible! is always needing gifts of both time and money.
