The Dreamer - It’s sometimes hard to see God at work in our lives. We mistakenly believe that he is blessing us when times are good, but abandoning us when times are bad. Knowing, however, that God is in control and that his work on our behalf is ultimately for our good enables us to trust him, no matter how difficult our circumstances may be. This week, we begin the story of Joseph—who seems to go from bad to worse, but behind everything he must endure is God’s unseen hand faithfully guiding him and using him to protect and bless the promised family. Join us this Sunday as we are introduced to “the Dreamer” in Genesis 37.
As we return this fall to Genesis, we’ll be talking about how God works in and through the sinful actions of the characters in this section of the book to accomplish his will.
