This week, we’ll consider a number of seemingly disconnected commands that the preacher uses as applications to his congregation. Why these commands? How do they reveal a life transformed by grace? This summer, our sermon series will take us through the book of Hebrews. Although Hebrews is one of the most important New Testament books because of its teaching on the divinity of Jesus, the relationship between the old and new covenants, and it’s insight on early Christian worship, among other things, the book is shrouded in mystery: who wrote it, to whom was it written, what kind of book is it anyway?
