As we continue in our new sermon series in the book of First Samuel, we see God answer Hannah’s prayer and Hannah respond with a new prayer (or song) of praise. The song, however, is…odd. It’s different from the kinds of thanksgiving prayers and praise we give to God when he answers our prayers. This week, we’ll look at the content of Hannah’s prayer and the lesson of Hannah’s prayer. Join us as we continue to make our way through the gospel according to Samuel!
This week, we begin a new sermon series in the Old Testament book of First Samuel. Eventually, we will hear the stories of King David and Solomon, the building of the Temple, and the glory of Israel under God’s blessing in the land of promise. But we begin during the time of the Judges when “everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”
