CloseRev. Eric Landry - December 8, 2019
Romans: 15: 4-13
The Triumph of Hope - Advent is a season of expectation and longing. So what are we waiting for? As a season in the church year, Advent leads up to Christmas Day. Is all we’re waiting for the dawn of Christmas morning and the fun (or dread) that comes with it? No, Israel waited for the Messiah to come; as Christians, we wait for the Messiah to come again. But we’re to do more than merely wait—we are to live in the anticipation of the reality that Christ’s second coming will bring. We are to live—right now—in the victory of God over sin and death. We are to live in the triumph of our hope. Join us this second Sunday of Advent as we explore Romans 15 and the “Triumph of Hope."
