John the Doubter - John the Baptist, Jesus’ cousin, is in prison for speaking truth to power. He knew that he was the forerunner to the Messiah. He had heard a voice from heaven identify Jesus as God’s beloved Son. John himself had testified that Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. But now he’s in prison. Nothing in his life seems to be turning out the way he expected. He’s struggling with doubts that bring everything he believed and accomplished into question.
