Step Three, Part One - Give to the Church - We’re nearing the end of our special topical sermon series, “Next Steps.” I hope that you have been encouraged and challenged to take these steps toward greater faithfulness as a disciple of Jesus and member of Christ’s body. This week, we turn to the third step: Give. We’ll spend two weeks on this step. First, we’ll consider how we’re called to give to the church. We’ll conclude the series by considering how we’re called to give to the world. Paul grounds his theology of giving in the love we ought to have for one another, which is borne out of the gratitude we have to God for what he has done for us in Christ. As we receive God’s love for us, how can we best exhibit God’s love for those to whom we are connected in the body of Christ? Join us this Sunday as we consider how we can extend ourselves to one another in life-giving love.
