Step Three, Part Two - Give to the World - In the final sermon of our spring series, “Next Steps,” we’ll turn our attention to the world: how do we give ourselves in love to the world? Too many of us live divided lives. We think we have a spiritual self and a separate secular self. The spiritual self goes to church, reads the Bible, prays, catechizes the children, and does good works. The secular self goes to work, interacts with our neighbors, enjoys good food and drink, and participates in the wider world. This Sunday, we’ll consider how God calls all of us to live for the good of the world as whole people. Join us as we take our final step: giving to the world.
A special five-week sermon series on the three steps all Christians must take in order to be a faithful disciple of Jesus. The series, which we’re calling “Next Steps,” will take us through Colossians 3, where Paul encourages the church with the good news of their new life in Christ.
