This Sunday is All Saints Sunday - the day on which the church has traditionally remembered those who have died in the Lord. In the book of Revelation the apostle John receives a vision of those who have died for their faith. But this vision wasn’t given to him to satisfy his curiosity or even to answer difficult questions about life after death. God wanted John and the churches of his day to remember the saints who had died before them as a way to encourage their own faithfulness to Jesus during challenging times. What do believers who are now in heaven have to teach us about the Christian life? We’ll explore that question as we worship Jesus and remember all the Saints together this Sunday.
