Summer School of Discipleship

This summer, we are providing School of Discipleship classes from June 5 through July 31, meeting between services from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. Calvin Hall will be open and busy with folks of all ages engaging with God’s Word and with one another. We plan to make the most of our time together, strengthening our relationships and continuing to grow in the faith.

Please note that children’s classes are combined differently than during the school year, and children should stick with their class/age from the past school year. We will promote them to new classes in the fall.

June 5 through July 31 (with no class on July 3)
– Nursery care will be provided
– 2 and 3 year olds, God’s Family – Sarah Morrison
– 4 year olds through 1st Grade, “The Garden, the Curtain, and the Cross” – Brittani & Corey Bilse

Adult Class Description:
Jesus often called his disciples by simply stating, “Follow me.” As his disciples today we must ask ourselves this same basic question, “Am I willing to follow Jesus?” It is a sober question that is at the very heart of the Christian faith. It speaks to our relationship with the living Lord and the level of trust we have towards his leadership in our life. One way that God strengthens us to persist in following Christ is by reflecting upon the details of Jesus’ birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection. These colorful sketches from the Gospel narratives are meant to invigorate our faith and to give us a firm foundation of love and affection towards our Lord. Come and learn about Jesus Christ and why as Christians we are drawn to him as the “founder and perfecter of our faith” (Heb. 12:2).
