With gratitude to God for his provision, the Session is pleased to announce that Nate Esbenshade has been hired as Redeemer’s new Youth Director. As many of you know, we began searching for a new youth director in April 2023. In July, Nate agreed to serve in an interim position while our search committee did its work. While serving our teens, Nate began to sense a call to ministry and applied for the permanent position. In addition to Nate, three other candidates also applied for the position. After receiving their resumes and applications, conducting interviews, and engaging in prayerful consideration, the search committee recommended Nate for the position. The Session joyfully concurs that Nate is well-suited to continue investing in and developing our youth ministries.
Nate has done a wonderful job leading our youth on Sunday evenings and will transition into the greater responsibilities of being the Youth Director this summer. For the 2024-2025 year, Nate plans to continue working full time as a teacher at Valor and part time with us, while he considers potential seminary options. We look forward to seeing how the Lord uses Nate this coming year. We are excited about his developing sense of call, and hope the Lord uses this year to equip our youth and encourage Nate in ministry.
